Biography

Chris Priestley went to art college in Manchester in 1976 and left in 1980, moving to London to work as a freelance illustrator and cartoonist and was a regular contributor to many newspapers, including the Independent, The Observer, The Times, The Wall Street Journal and the Economist, as well as producing work for building site screens, the BBC and featuring on posters for Amnesty International and several London theatres.

He is an award-winning writer and illustrator of over twenty works of fiction for older children.

He has exhibited his paintings regularly ever since leaving college, mainly in mixed, open-entry shows, most recently at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London in 2017
